Everything was nice, quaint little hotel, the location was beautiful just next door to sightseeing as well as the centre. We booked a tastefully decorated and reasonably large room with beautiful view

We played golf at various locations and had great walks around the neighborhood,,, the hotel's location was in a busy hwy and with poor access to restaurants or other facilities. The pool was useless and the best part about the hotel was it's staff which was extremely courteous...
The location was not the best when trying to access good restaurants in the area... Nothing much happening around the area...

Location not far from Lisbon and a hill. Besides, excellent for visiting Palacio e Quinta da Bacalhoa. A good choice of goodies for breakfast.

The landscaped gardens were beautiful and we dined in the large, plant and flower-filled conservatory, which was a lovely setting for a meal. The area is lovely and quiet for a weekend break away, to just walk in the gardens, read a book under a palm tree, or take a swim. The bathroom had an original azulejo ceramic sink and the bath was big enough to lie in (quite rare in Portuguese hotels, I have found from experience). We visited the Cheese Museum nearby, which no longer produces cheese, but the history of Azeitao cheese-making was worth the visit and the tasting of a locally produced Moscatel was pretty nice. The fountained, gated entrance is very pleasant and the building is beautiful, with typical azulejo tiles and a grand feel to the place - it could easily be a pousada, but at a much lower price. And the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The one disappointment was the breakfast. The eggs (scrambled and fried) were stone cold, although it had an ok range of choices: cereals, bread, cakes, fruit, fruit juices, coffee, ham, cheese, but it had a basic, tired feel to it. But other hotels in Portugal offer some great breakfasts, so I expected a little more choice and for the hot food to be served hot.

The rooms are very spacious and provide an excellent view of the country side. The proprietor and staff are very welcoming and professional.
We were a little confused by the name. The hotel does not use the term "Rural" on its signage. It is simply called the Hotel Club d'Azeitao.

The meals were fab. I booked a nice size and nicely decorated room, that was offered with the bedroom, beautiful view plus AC. The location was beautiful, near wineries, in the gorgeous area.
The room was dated, for me personally.

The hotel looked really nice. The staff was friendly and helping us (with my headache, warming up water for our baby and providing information). The pool is nice, although it could be closer to the hotel. The choice and quality of food for breakfast was good. The room and bathroom were clean and of reasonable size.
No internet in the rooms, only in lobby.
